Rides for the public are BACK!

Our Rides begin at Lanes Station, located on Highway 104 half way between Highway 88 and Ione.  Rides will also be offered the second Saturday of every month through October, weather permitting.

Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. at Lanes Station.  No presales or reservations at this time, first come first served.  We will offer three runs for the day, 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. weather permitting.  If it is close to a triple digit day temperature wise, we will only be doing the two early runs. 

Price is still just $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 5-15 years old, per seat for a 6 mile round trip ride up into Gold Country that lasts about an hour.  Children must be at least 5 years old to ride.  Please, no smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages on railroad property.

Rail Car Rides are back!

Second Saturday of the month

March through November, weather permitting

Ticket sales begin at 9:30 a.m.

Excursions leave at 10:00 am, 12:00 p.m.., and 2:00 pm

Motorcar Rail Rides take you along the historic Amador Central Railroad, a six-mile round trip which takes about an hour.

Ride on a motorcar from Lane's Station in Ione to Sunny Brook and back through the beautiful Amador County hills.

First ride leaves at 10:00 am and will have rides at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., weather permitting.

First come first served, no advance tickets will be sold. 

Motorcar rides are $10.00 per seat round trip and children must be 5 years old and up. 

If you are a motorcar operator\owner and are NARCOA licensed and insured and would like to participate in giving rides, contact Tom Correa.

Lane's Station is located just south of the railroad crossing on Highway 104, between Highway 88 and Ione. (Look for the signs.)

Special Notice:

#1:  Recreational Railroad Coalition Historical Society in conjunction with the Amador Central R.R. will be hosting short runs from Highway 104 to Sunnybrook.  Watch this page for rain cancellations.  Rides board at Hwy 104 just south of the crossing.  Check for banners and signs.  The rides are 6 miles round trip and take about 1.5 hours.

#2:  The first Saturday of every month, the RRCHS holds their board meetings at the American Legion Ambulance Offices at 11350 American Legion Drive, Sutter Creek, Ca 95685.  Board meetings start promptly at 9:00 am.  Anyone interested in attending these meetings as a guest are welcome.  Special meetings may be called at anytime.
